I’ve been looking for a better solution to use to clean the glass and tile in our shower and was looking for a larger scrub brush to get this job done a little more quickly. Thinking that there just might be a long handled scrub brush that would do the trick, I took my search to Amazon and happened upon this floor scrub brush. Marketed as a floor scrub brush, my thinking was that this might do a really good job on both tile floors as well as showers – tile and glass doors.

After doing a little investigating, I decided that this might be just what I was looking for:

  • extendable handle
  • stiff bristles for scrubbing
  • washable/cleanable
  • fits in corners and edges
  • squeegee
  • swivel head for easy use

I purchased it and put it to the test. When I say that it far exceeded my expectations, it truly far exceeded my expectations!  I wasn’t planning on doing a post on it but it worked so well that I had to share it with you!

I used a little bit of the new All-Purpose Cleaning Soap (sign up to be notified when it launches in July). I wet the shower and simply squirt the soap on the surfaces and scrub away. If you have dirty grout or anything that needs to be whitened you can sprinkle a little Oxygen Whitener on the wet surfaces and scrub. Rinse the soap and use the squeegee on the scrub brush to squeegee the surfaces once they are rinsed clean.

Why does this work?

  • I love the larger size – it covers a larger surface area quickly.
  • Versatility –  while it is called a ‘floor scrub brush’, it can be used for so many other areas.
  • Ease of use – the handle can be adjusted and the brush can be turned to fit into cracks and crevices.
  • Easy to clean – rinse in hot water and spray with Hydrogen Peroxide if I need to disinfect it.
  • No batteries, nothing to charge – love that!
  • Price – it’s $19.99 – that’s a great price for a versatile tool like this!

What do you think? Have you tried a scrub brush like this?  I also reviewed an electric scrub brush here – after using this one, I feel like this manually powered floor scrub brush is better.  You can see all of my reviews here – what should I review next?
