Check out this post.

1. General Surface Cleaning

For a simple and effective cleaner, mix baking soda with water to create a paste. This can be used to scrub surfaces like countertops and stovetops, removing grime without scratching. The abrasive texture of baking soda makes it excellent for tackling tough stains.

2. Carpet Deodorizer

Sprinkle baking soda lightly on carpets, rugs, or upholstery, let it sit for about 15 minutes, and then vacuum it up. This will help to absorb odors and freshen up the area.

3. Sink Cleaning

For nightly sink cleaning, sprinkle baking soda into a wet sink, add a squirt of dish soap, scrub, and rinse. This not only cleans but also leaves the sink smelling fresh. My Nightly Sink Scrub routine is my favorite cleaning ritual.

4. Bathroom Scrub

In the bathroom, apply baking soda to wet tiles, tubs, and sinks. Add a bit of castile soap or your regular cleaner, scrub the area, and rinse off. This method effectively cleans without harsh chemicals. Check out my DIY Bathroom Scrub recipe here. If you have a white sink or tub or grout that you’d like to whiten up, add a sprinkle of Oxygen Whitener to the surface with the powder, scrub and rinse.

5. Mattress Freshener

You can use baking soda to freshen up your mattress. Just sprinkle it on, let it sit, and then vacuum up. Add a couple drops of essential oil to the baking soda to add a little scent.

6. Odor Neutralizer

Place an open box of baking soda in your refrigerator, freezer, or any other space that needs deodorizing. It naturally absorbs unwanted smells, keeping your spaces fresher.
